Hunter Biden’s decision to fight fire with fire in his ongoing laptop scandal is apparently not sitting well with the administration officials who work for his father.

Hunter Biden’s decision to fight fire with fire in his ongoing laptop scandal is apparently not sitting well with the administration officials who work for his father.

The president’s son has brought on several street fighters, including famed white-collar defense attorney Abbe Lowell and Media Matters founder David Brock, to defend him against House Republican investigations into the contents of his laptop hard-drive. House Oversight chair James Comer and Judiciary committee chair Jim Jordan are probing whether Hunter traded access to Joe for fat paychecks from foreign corporations. In response, Hunter’s attack dogs are resurfacing claims that Comer abused his ex-girlfriend and that Jordan turned a blind eye to sexual abuse when he coached high-school wrestling.

This aggressive defense has troubled the White House, according to a new report from Tara Palmeri at Puck News. Joe is busy dealing with his own classified document scandal, after all, and doesn’t need Hunter going full “Leeroy Jenkins.” The fear is that Lowell and Brock’s gutter-level attacks only draw more attention to the unsavory allegations swirling around the Bidens.

Then again: what better way to distract from the Biden administration’s failures than holding up a shiny object elsewhere? Especially one that includes hookers, Parmesan cheese crack cocaine, alleged art money laundering, foreign corruption, a stripper’s bastard child and an unassuming laptop repairman.

Hunter’s team should also take comfort in the fact that Anita Dunn and Bob Bauer’s more tight-lipped strategy on the classified document scandal hasn’t exactly fared well for President Biden. The New York Times previously reported that White House staffers were frustrated with trying to keep up with the “drip-drip” of media reports about the findings of federal searches for documents at various Biden properties.

The word is that the “Big Guy” is quite pleased that Hunter is fighting back against the “extreme MAGA Republicans” who would dare look into his financial dealings. That doesn’t surprise Cockburn, considering the president has never been shy about grappling with his political enemies.

“If we were in high school, I’d take him behind the gym and beat the hell out of him,” Biden once said about Trump.

Sounds more entertaining than another congressional hearing, that’s for sure.
