In Cockburn’s estimation, any respectable book promotional event ends with protesters shouting down the author. On Sunday, Donald Trump Jr. earned his stripes.
While promoting his new book, Triggered: How the Left Thrives on Hate and Wants to Silence Us, Don Jr. and his girlfriend, former Fox News anchor Kimberly Guilfoyle, faced off with groypers — right-wing trolls inspired by far-right zoomer Nick Fuentes — at a Turning Point USA event at the University of California, Los Angeles.
Guilfoyle, who was fed up with the booing, insinuated that the protesters were incels:

‘Let me tell you something…I bet you engage, and go on online dating because you’re impressing no one here to get a date in person,’ she said.

While Cockburn can’t verify Guilfoyle’s claim, he must note the former Fox News host has a history with innuendo and suggestive comments.

When Guilfoyle was married to then-San Francisco mayor Gavin Newsom, she captivated the Bay Area press by alluding to their sex life. During a 2004 speech at a New York LGBT advocacy fundraiser, the First Lady of San Francisco pulled back the curtain on her private life with the mayor. As reported by the San Francisco Chronicle‘the babe of the San Francisco bar’ had this to say about her husband:

‘”Is he hot?” Yeah.

‘”Is he hung?” Yeah.

‘”Is he (she waved her hand to suggest bisexual)?” Not unless you can give a better (she mimicked eating a banana) than me,” Guilfoyle Newsom said.’

While Guilfoyle has moved on with her life — divorcing Newsom in 2006 — she still has a penchant for off-color remarks. According to a 2018 HuffPost report, Guilfoyle departed from Fox News because of ‘sexual misconduct’ allegations. During her time as an anchor:

‘Guilfoyle’s behavior included showing personal photographs of male genitalia to colleagues (and identifying whose genitals they were), regularly discussing sexual matters at work and engaging in emotionally abusive behavior toward hair and makeup artists and support staff.’

Of course, Guilfoyle could be a different person now that she has found new love with Don Jr. But with speculation that Don Jr. will one day pick up the MAGA mantle and seek political office, Cockburn would advise the president’s first son to sign an NDA with Guilfoyle before the size of Don Jr. Jr. is described in the Washington Post.
