No one in the Biden administration will admit who’s footing the bill

Kamala Harris fulfilled her duty as vice president by answering questions about Biden’s decision to cancel student loan debts on Monday. Ha. Just kidding. Did Cockburn get you? Once again, it seems that any meaningful words have escaped her.

Kamala Harris fulfilled her duty as vice president by answering questions about Biden’s decision to cancel student loan debts on Monday. Ha. Just kidding. Did Cockburn get you? Once again, it seems that any meaningful words have escaped her.

While Kamala and Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff (still the funniest title ever) made an appearance for the Artemis 1 launch in Florida on Monday — which, in true Democratic Party fashion, was later aborted — a Fox News reporter rightly asked her why the Biden administration hasn’t bothered to tell Americans where the money will come from for the loan cancellations.

Instead of admitting that the American taxpayer was footing the bill, estimated at an eye watering $519 billion, Kamala decided to act like a parrot, mimicking the evasive answers we’ve already had from the president. Chirp chirp:

Well, let’s start with this: first of all, a lot of the same people who are criticizing what we rightly did in following through on a commitment that we made to forgive student loan debt are the same people who voted for a tax cut for the richest Americans.

That isn’t what he asked, Kamala. She continued:

So when we look at who is benefiting from this, 90 percent of the people who are going to benefit from student loan forgiveness make under $75,000 a year, and that debt has been the reason that they’re unable to start a family, buy a home, and pursue their piece of the American Dream.

That still isn’t what he asked, Kamala.

In fairness, Cockburn can’t solely accuse the vice president of having no idea what she’s talking about, as it seems that none of Biden’s posse can give a clear answer. Though his staffers are all decades younger than Sleepy Joe, they seem to share the same selective listening trait as him.

Last week when asked how much the student loan forgiveness program will cost, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said:

All of this, when it comes to cost, will depend on how many of the loans canceled were actually expected to be repaid. It will depend on how many borrowers actually take up this opportunity before we have a real sense.

Even the president himself stuttered when he was asked if the plan was unfair to Americans who had already paid their loans.

Is it fair to people who in fact do not own multibillion-dollar businesses to see one of these guys getting all the tax credits? Is that fair? What do you think?

Cockburn thinks that Biden, Harris and the rest of their motley crew need to either clean their ears out or get their answers straight.
