Inside Raheem Kassam’s ‘Transatlantic Right Wing Spring Fling’

‘Feel free to mention how hot my date was’

Cockburn doesn’t mind a cocktail or two, but he wasn’t sure if he could stomach the ‘Raheem is Daddy’ special on offer at the Nigel Farage party last night at CPAC.

Kassam is a particularly proud boy at the moment, and perhaps understandably so. He’s just bought Human Events, the media company, with his ally Will Chamberlain and his party had a celebratory and very boozy atmosphere. Raheem himself called it ‘The Transatlantic Right Wing Spring Fling.’

‘Feel free to say how hot my date was,’ he said.

His party was an ‘off-the-record’ (but not for you, dear reader)…

Kassam is a particularly proud boy at the moment, and perhaps understandably so. He’s just bought Human Events, the media company, with his ally Will Chamberlain and his party had a celebratory and very boozy atmosphere. Raheem himself called it ‘The Transatlantic Right Wing Spring Fling.’

‘Feel free to say how hot my date was,’ he said.

His party was an ‘off-the-record’ (but not for you, dear reader) knees-up at Pose Nightclub, upstairs at CPAC, and a veritable ‘who’s that’ of conservative personae, including several folk who were too damn dangerous for access to the convention proper.

Guests were greeted by cardboard cut-outs of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Jussie Smollett. There were other political figures from the wacky world of transatlantic conservatism. Representatives of the Irish anti-EU ‘Irexit’ movement were there as well Georgia Melloni from the Brothers of Italy party.

Farage arrived at around 11, fresh from the engagement party of Candace Owens and George Farmer at the Trump International Hotel in DC, and was instantly swarmed by American fangirls desperate for a selfie. He seemed to enjoy the attention. He also seemed less drunk than usual.

Cockburn also had a fruitful chat with young Jacob Wohl, who was eager to talk about how he had figured out the underlying power structures in Washington and was now getting very rich. He was particularly ebullient about his sex appeal. ‘See those two girls over there,’ he said. ‘They want to have a foursome with me.’ Cockburn wasn’t sure if this was an offer.

Kassam said he had no idea why Wohl was there. ‘It was the first time I’ve met him,’ he said. Poor lad.

Several other big names did make the cut, though. Mike Cernovich had his own booth, naturally, and Cockburn also spotted Pussycat Doll Kaya Jones, Fox News’s Sara Carter and Gina Loudon. Joy Villa was dominating the dancefloor all night in  a stylish red dress and flowered headpiece, despite only sipping water.

The same couldn’t be said for one unfortunate reveler, who collapsed head first into a pillar outside the Gaylord, bleeding profusely all over the driveway. The price of freedom can be steep.
