Update 7/2 10 a.m.: Ghislaine Maxwell was arrested in Bedford, New Hampshire this morning.

An explosive new book claims that Bill Clinton had an affair with Ghislaine Maxwell, the woman accused of procuring underage girls for notorious pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

In an excerpt of A Convenient Death, published in the New York Post, a source tells Alana Goodman and Daniel Halper how ‘[Bill] and Ghislaine were getting it on…that’s why he was around Epstein — to be with her.’

‘You couldn’t hang out with her without being with him,’ the source told the authors. ‘Clinton just used him like everything else.’ Goodman and Halper frame this as Clinton using Epstein ‘as an alibi while he hooked up with Maxwell.’

The source goes on to dismiss the idea that Clinton was sexually involved with children, saying the former president is ‘stupid but not an idiot.’ Conspiracy theorists everywhere will be sorely disappointed.

‘Clinton, though he has a long history of being accused of sexual misconduct, has never been accused of engaging with an underage female with Epstein,’ Goodman and Halper write. ‘Despite rampant speculation, in fact Clinton’s appetite was being fed by someone else entirely.’

The book’s authors describe how Clinton’s dalliances with Maxwell did not all take place overseas, describing how they ‘continued in New York City, where Clinton on multiple occasions visited Maxwell’s own private townhome at 116 East 65th Street, an $11 million pad that runs a touch below 7,000 square feet, much more modest than Epstein’s palatial townhome a few blocks north. (Maxwell purchased it in 2000 for a mere $4.95 million.)’
