If you thought the Democrats couldn’t humiliate themselves any more, well, think again.

In a cringeworthy pre-recorded skit played during the Black Entertainment Television Awards on Sunday night, Vice President Kamala Harris appeared on a phone call with host Taraji P. Henson where they both expressed their concern about the upcoming presidential election.

The skit was done as a parody rap song, quoting Kendrick Lamar’s song “Not Like Us,” part of the Drake-Kendrick rivalry. The song specifically mocked Drake for dating younger women, accusing him of being a pedophile.

“Madam VP Harris,” Henson starts off, “I’m worried about the election. Women’s reproductive rights are on the line, our Supreme Court is on the line, our basic freedoms are being tested… Madam VP, what are you hearing?” she asks Harris.

It starts off strong with Harris replying: “Yeah girl, I’m out here in these streets,” Harris says. What streets? You mean the Naval Observatory? But it doesn’t end there.

“And let me tell you, you’re right, Taraji,” she continues. “There is so much at stake in this moment. The majority of us believe in freedom and equality. But these extremists, as they say, they not like us,” dropping the Kendrick reference.

“There is a full-on attack on our freedoms, the freedom to vote, the freedom to love who you love…” says the vice president, pushing the trope that a victory for Donald Trump and the Republicans will see them turn America into an authoritarian state.

Meanwhile, she’s busy rapping on national television…

“They trying to take away Pride, Plan B and Planned Parenthood, but protecting pistols. If you ask me, they pushing the Wrong Ps,” she said, adding insult to injury.

Her attempt to sound like a gangster has prompted many to mock her on social media.

“How is it not considered wildly offensive to have Kamala so blatantly put on a ‘blackcent’ when speaking to BET like this,” one said on X. A “toenail curling level of cringe,” Elon Musk remarked.

Aside from the obvious embarrassment, it’s hard to not ask yourself why on earth the VP is devoting her time to making anodyne skits rather than trying to prepare herself for the likelihood that she’ll have to replace our declining president.

But sadly it doesn’t really matter what Harris does, though. Her credentials speak for themselves.

“If you pick a white man over Kamala Harris, black women, I can tell you this, we gon’ walk away,  we gon’ blow the party up,”  said Areva Martin, attorney and California delegate for Biden for President.

“Y’all need to just stay the course. We got more black judges appointed under Joe Biden than anyone, even President Barack Obama,” she added.

Whether Joe Biden is or isn’t mentally present doesn’t really matter; he put together the most diverse administration in history! It’s clear that the Dems’ priorities have not changed.
